Every year our festival sees a different mix of artists, performers, venues & events gathering together to create the ’Draycott Festival of Arts & Gardens’.
It also seems that Draycott folk are great at getting involved with good causes and helping them in many ways.
A theme shining through for 2010 are the many artists whose work is focusing upon the use of reclaimed or sustainable materials.
As always, our particular strength is that many of the artists will be actively working at their disciplines. We feel that this gives you a special insight into, and an appreciation of, the methods used by the wide variety of artists showing as a part of the Festival.
Feel free to follow this guide to the all of the events and gardens and look out for the Draycott architectural trail included towards the back of this booklet. Enjoy a stroll around the venues and gardens where local residents, guest artists and groups of local artists, craftspeople and performers are exhibiting.
Don’t be shy – the artists will love to talk to you about their work.
The festival is a not-for-profit event organized by ‘startle participatory arts’
and we gratefully acknowledge the help of all involved.
