The following our are directions, intended to help you on your journey.
From Nottingham to Draycott
We are 3 miles from junction 25 on the M1, between Nottingham and Derby. The following directions are taken from theeaa.com
Leave the M1 at junction 25, head South onto Bostock Lane running parallel to the Motorway, signposted Long Eaton
Continue forward onto Bostock's Lane
At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Longmoor Road - B6002, signposted Long Eaton (which becomes Petersham Road)
At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Derby Road - A6005, signposted Derby
After approximately 2 miles turn left onto Lodge Street (opposite the garage and brown tourist sign)
The road curves right onto South Street
Arrive at The Beetroot Tree on your right (Look for the red and gold sign!)
From Derby to Draycott
Alternatively, if approaching along the A52 from Derby, leave at the Borrowash / Ockbrook turn, take a right at the first T-Junction and left at the second T-junction, you are now on the Derby Road. Follow this road out of Borrowash, under the A52 bridge and take a right turn into Hopwell Road. Follow down the hill to the cross-roads at the centre of Draycott. Turn left onto Victoria Road, drive past the post office on you right. You will see our brown tourist sign on the left outside the garage. Turn right here down Lodge Street and continue on this road into South Street. You have found us so come inside!
Travelling by Bus
The Indigo bus runs between Derby and Nottingham city centres. Alight at Market Square, walk down Market Street and turn left into South Street.
Travelling by Bicycle
You are welcome to bring your bicycles into the courtyard for safe parking. Try the Sustrans website for ideas about local cycle routes.
Teddy and Wiwi regularly come here on their bikes with their dad (see below!)
