MONDAYS
‘Try-Its’ | Popular taster sessions are ideal for introducing you to a wide range of art supplies and techniques. Led by our specialist tutors who will explain and demonstrate techniques for you to investigate hands-on. A great spring-board for your own creative expressions with new ideas to try every week. Tutoring, equipment, art packs and inspiration all supplied.
Participation includes such benefits as 10% off all Art Materials in our shop for every participant on the day and an inspirational fact sheet to take home and refer back to as and when you want.
Just £7.50 per week. 10.30 am - 12.30 pm every Monday! Booking highly recommended.

06/09/10 - Shrink Plastic Creations with Pat Shearing
This wonderful medium allows you to colour, stamp and draw detailed designs before shrinking it down to a 5th of its original size. Colours intensify to create components for jewellery and wall art.

Due to the popularity of this workshop we will be adding an afternoon session repeating these wonderful techniques from 1:30pm - 3:30pm - so if you haven't booked already - be quick!

13/09/10 - Mixed Media Collage - with Linda Vincent
Using JetFX images, papers, text and fabric. Hand stitch and bond layers together to collage up your personal creation. Embellish with stitch and beads.

Experiment with our new toy. Using the melt pot to create a pool of liquid embossing powder, drizzle, dip, pour and coat your mixed media creations.
27/9/10 - Button Jewellery
Colourful, bold great fun to wear. Learn various techniques in this workshop to enable you to create your very own button jewellery at home.
04/10/10 - Alcohol Ink Techniques
Use Alcohol Inks to change any shiny surface into a riot of colour! Glossy card, acetate, glass, even eggs! Use these techniques and get amazing results!

18/10/10 - Cosmic Shimmer Powders
Unlock the shimmering beauty of mica powders. The techniques we shall be looking at will include – Water Webbing, Northern Lights, creating Negative Images, using as a Water Colour to paint and stamp and various ways to make background images
25/10/10 - Fabric Layering and Bonding
Time to experiment with layering and bonding various fabrics. Taking inspiration from two of our artists Priscilla Jones and Sally Cotteril you will learn a few manipulation techniques to create beautiful back grounds to stitch and embellish on to.
01/11/10 - Hans Stitching
Learn how, by using just a few hand embroidery stitches you can add texture and interest to your work without using a machine.

13/09/10 - Rock Art Bracelet - Shrink Plastic
Complete your unique bracelet to take home while learning numerous colouring and patterning techniques for this wonderful medium. Create your design and transform your components into light weight, wearable jewellery.

27/09/10 - Printing with Specialist Tutor Nicki Dennett
Come and create your own Lino Print using Pablo
Picasso as inspiration. Design, carve, ink and print. Have a taste of this wonderful technique and go away with your own Print, a work of art to treasure forever!

11/10/10 - Vintage Brooch
Using a Faux Solder technique, we will be making a very individual and interesting piece, which may be used as a brooch or scrapbook page decoration. We will be using the Melt Pot, microscope slides, UTEE, wire , beads and any old or interesting papers, photos etc that you don’t mind cutting up. If you don’t have any papers or photos, don’t worry some will be provided.

25/10/10 - Mixed Fabric Purse
In this workshop you will be layering and bonding various fabrics and inclusions to create beautiful back grounds to stitch and embellish on to. Taking inspiration from two of our artists Priscilla Jones and Sally Cotteril you will learn a few manipulation techniques which will culminate in a simple purse or small clutch bag.

TUESDAYS
Stitch & Chat | 10 am - 12 noon, £2 per week. Bring your own work and join in with this self supporting and friendly group. Drinks and biscuits provided.
Honeycombe | Moved to the first Wednesday of everymonth, 11am
Bits & Bites | On the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 16 February onwards, £3 per session. This self supporting group will meet from 1 pm - 3 pm for all with a mutual interest in using the computer as a tool to aid art and design in textiles. Drinks and biscuits provided.

WEDNESDAYS:
Taking Textiles Further | Embroidery & mixed media with Alysn Midgelow-Marsden 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm, £15 per week. Working with textiles, embroidery and mixed media, participants will explore the different surface qualities which different media impart and make a range of pieces from embroidered works, books, mirrors, cards, sculptures etc. The emphasis is placed upon learning new techniques at your own pace in a small group.

Honeycombe | Creative networking meetings
1st Wednesday of every month from 11 am. £2.50 per session, cake and coffee (or Tea if you prefer) included.
Open Studio / Rent a desk Be inspired by other creatives, share your ideas and chat with like minded individuals in our well equiped 'dirty' workspace. A great place away from the distractions that hold you back.The price includes electricity, water and the use of some of our basic equipment such as heat guns. FRIDAYS:
Jewellery & Metal | Practical workshops with Helen Domleo.Evening workshops from 6.30pm to 8.30pm or morning sessions from 10.30am - 12.30pm. £20 per week plus small materials charge for what you use. Book in four week blocks. Helen will demonstrate and guide you through metal and jewellery making techniques to enable you to develop and refine your own practice.

in | volve | Alysn Midgelow-Marsden (our gallery director with 15 years of gallery, tutoring and making experience) will be introducing mentoring groups based here at the gallery. They are directed towards those wishing to succeed in the creative industries. You will be given the opportunity to ripen your skills and knowledge to maximum effect. The sessions will run on alternate Tuesday afternoons. £240 for each 6 month module.
Professional Practice Module runs on the second Tuesday of each month.
Participants will be invited to ‘make your practice work for you’. This module is designed for those looking to turn their talents into a viable business model.
Creative Development Module runs on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
‘Crit’ can be a dirty word for many creative people however, good ‘crit’ should be a positive feedback to the work. It allows you to witness how your work is perceived and teases out all those beautiful strands of thought and experiences that you have fed into your making processes. This is an opportunity to nurture your practice with regards to all aspects of making whether it be composition, technique or context in a supportive and perceptive environment.

If we are unable to run the workshop your deposit and payment will be refunded. To cancel your booking please provide three weeks notice to ensure a refund (not including deposit). Less then 3 weeks notice will result in full payment being deducted.
