Chinese Brush Painting
With Nick Summerbell


A great opportunity to paint with accomplished Chinese brush painter, Nick Summerbell. Suitable for absolute beginners or artists who would like to develop the technique of this disciplined yet expressive and versatile art.

Make a Silver Ring
With Kate Bajic

The second of our two sessions. Learn and use basic methods of silversmithing to make a silver ring. Everything will be provided for the workshop so just bring yourself.

Seamless Bags & Vessels
With Jo Brudenell

The technique of 3D felt-making can be used to make either a seamless bag or vessel
during the workshop. You will learn how to make a template and mould and how to incorporate handles, straps or pockets.

Vintage Bag Making
With Priscilla Jones

Why not try utilising all those old fabrics cluttering up the cupboard and create yourself a stunning, unique and fashionable bag using nostalgic imagery for inspiration. Priscilla will take you through designing & creating your idea using free machine embroidery, appliqué and bonding techniques. Make it personal by bringing along some of your own fabrics.

Metal Bashing
With Hazel Atkinson

Spend a day designing and making your own jewellery using brass, copper, aluminium, plastic, wire and other re-cycled materials. With one to one tuition you could make a variety of ear rings, brooches, rings or pendants. Images showing work made by student, with no prior experience in a
one day workshop.

Meeting with Metals
With Alysn Midgelow-Marsden

Use the distinctive properties of metals & meshes as fabrics for use
with your sewing machine. Create a panel which can be developed into bags, framed
embroideries, cards or many other ideas.

Sunday 24 February Cost: £45.00

 

Vibrant Stitch & Paint
With Lis Mann

You will use colourful fabrics to collage, layer and patch together to create backgrounds for imagery in stitch and paint. This can be achieved with hand or machine stitch and can be further embellished with beads & buttons.

Stained Glass Panels
With Pam Marston

The workshop will introduce students to glass techniques, using a range of skills
and will become familiar with the qualities and limitations of the material. Using the acquired skills, students will produce a
small panel to enjoy.

Saturday 1 March Cost: £45.00

 

Textured Jewellery in Silver Art Clay
With Lynne Glazzard

Lynne will demonstrate two techniques
for forming work using clay-type and
paste-type silver art clay. Students will
be able to produce small pieces with fixings to attach as earrings and necklace.

To cancel your booking please provide three weeks notice to ensure a refund (not including deposit).
