Tangled Treasures II
with Alysn Midgelow-Marsden
Use simple, effective crochet with fine coloured wires and beautiful glass beads to create small treasures for jewellery or other embellishments.
No need to have experience of crochet - you will learn during the day, and I promise that it is very addictive!
Sculpted Surprises
with Alysn Midgelow-Marsden
Create a three dimensional sculpture, vessel or container using a combination of woven metal fabric, machine stitched applique techniques and sheer fabrics, FibreDK (Lutradur) and hand embellishments.
'Shoe Stitchery'

It's all about decorating with the image of shoes. Using the shoe as the inspiration, express ideas and emotions through embroidery.

'Make a Silver Bracelet'

Learn basic methods of silversmithing to create a silver bracelet. Everything provided for the workshop so just bring yourself. Book early as places go fast!
'Needle Felting'
with Pat Hazzeldine
Try this colourful & exciting way to work with wool & felt to create stunning colourful hangings, handbags, cushion covers, scarves and many other items. Bring some collected ‘finds’ to incorporate into the sampler; beads, shells with holes in, buttons, rusty old nail, bits of twig etc. Materials and needles will be provided.
'Decorative Glass Panels'

Drawing in glass using colour, metal inclusions and lustres. Learn basic techniques to enable you to design and construct glass panels using your own theme and inspiration. No experience necessary.
'Particle Article'

Create a unique 3D character sculpture using recycled and found materials. Sculptures may resemble insects, fairies, angels, or hybrids of these and can be accompanied with a small piece of creative writing describing the creature’s secret activities and mischievous nature. Suitable for all skill levels.
'Stitch Metal'

Create a dramatic panel in metal and free machine embroidery which catches the changes of light, shimmering and reflecting with a firey glow. Explore the qualities of metal shim for stitch and machine embroidery into soluble fabrics for lacey effects.
'Tiara Making'

Design and construct a gorgeous tiara in beads and wire. Suitable for any princess!
