Glass Jewellery - Repeat due to demand
Saturday 2 Oct 2010 - £45 + materials charge £5 - £10
Colours, metals, wires, Dichroic Glass, cutting and layering can all be used to make glistening jewellery. Work to design your own unique pendants, earrings, brooches, cufflinks and rings. Some pieces will be fired and finished on the day, others will be taken back to Stevies studio, fired and then returned to the gallery for collection. The day will also include use of a Microwave Kiln.... interesting isn't it?

Explore the ancient craft of mosaic through creating your own mosaic mirror. Mosaic is a bold and diverse form of art, adopted by many different cultures for thousands of years. In a day you can learn skills including cutting with nippers and grouting - choose from a wide range of materials to develop the colour and content of your piece.

If you have completed The Art of Silver Alchemy Introduction Workshop you will love this next step Workshop. Due to popular request Magick Minx Productions will be showing you how to make a beautiful Fine Silver Flower Ring, there are a few designs to choose from with the delicate Orchid Ring being the most popular.
You will learn the various different ways to make a 'ring-shank' & how to attach your flower topper, students will make a minimum of one completed ring, ready to wear on the day. NB - Leigh brings lots of goodies with her including starter packs and materials so bring your cheque book if you think you would like to continue developing this craft at home!

Create unique Fused Glass Hangings, coasters and jewellery items to keep all to yourself or to give away to someone special! In this workshop Stevie will take you through the process of cutting glass, designing before layering your pieces with metal inclusions and colourful elements to produce one off designs. Some pieces will be fired in Stevies portable kiln or her microwave kilns, others will need to be fired and delivered back to the gallery for collection - roughly 2 weeks later.
